Assault rifles are the perfect blend of power and accuracy. The only thing they lack is hip-fire accuracy, which can be fixed by using Steady Aim. If you're more of a stealth, flanker, or rusher kind of class, I would recommend an SMG instead. But if you like to hang back a bit and fight from the front lines while sticking close to your team, these guns are for you.

M16A4
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.129s - 0.195s
Accuracy: Very High
Tier: 1

An excellent choice for an assault rifle, and considered among many as the best weapon in the game. Highly accurate, kills in 1 trigger pull nearly every time. The the only downside I have ever found to using this gun is that the burst fire can get you killed easily since it's impossible to be 100% accurate. It should also be that this rifle has the fastest TTK of any automatic weapon in the game. Best used on maps that force you to frequently engage multiple enemies across larger distances. My favorite attachment for this gun (as well as nearly all AR's) is the silencer, since you won't be sacrificing too much power to have the benefit of being invisible on the radar. The iron sights tend to block your view so it'll take some getting used to.

AK-47
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.172s - 0.257s
Accuracy: High
Tier: 2

Another great rifle, probably my choice of AR if I really had to pick one. The gun seems to have high recoil, but the bullets actually fly straighter than the animation gives them credit for. Don't take my word for it though, go into a private match and test fire both an M4 and AK at full auto. You'll notice they both have the same general bullet spread. The only reason this power-house of a rifle doesn't get a "very high" accuracy ranking is because sometimes even though it's just an animation, the recoil of the iron sights jumping up can obscure your view. If the M16 keeps getting you killed, give this baby a try. Great damage, range, and penetration, but suffers from a damage glitch with a silencer or red dot sight attachment which puts it in the second tier of weapons. I recommend using this one "stock," as in no attachments.

M4A1
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.204s - 0.273s
Accuracy: Very High
Tier: 2

One of the best all around guns, but a little weaker compared to the M16 or AK. Works wonders with a silencer once you get used to the wonky iron sights. One of the most common guns you'll see in public matches due to it's ease of use. Extremely low recoil, fairly high fire rate, and ok hip fire makes it just that: ok. It will do everything you want it to pretty much, the only thing it lacks is a quick TTK, so do your best to go for headshots when you can. This is one of the only weapons I can actually stand using an ACOG scope on since it has such small recoil.

HK G3
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.172s > ???s
Accuracy: Very High
                                                    Tier: 3

A low-recoil semi-automatic assault rifle and big cousin to the MP5. One of my favorites to use for fun, and a great weapon to train your trigger speed for pistols. It unfortunately gets put into the 3rd tier because the fastest natural trigger speed you'll reach on average will only be as fast or slightly slower than the AK-47, which does the same damage. The other primary reason it gets stuck at 3rd tier is because of another attachment glitch: When you add a silencer, your knife attack no longer works properly. This may seem unimportant but when someone surprises you from around a corner, you're going to wish your knife worked. I recommend using a Red dot sight on this rifle.

G36C
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.240s - 0.320s
Accuracy: Very High
Tier: 5

Pretty much a slower firing version of the M4, it has nothing to offer stat-wise that another gun couldn't do better. Sure it's versatile, but I can't get over what a pathetic TTK it has. Some people however swear by it, and in the end what matters is what weapon you do better with. Just know that if you're good with the G36C, theoretically you'll be just as good with almost any other AR if not much better. If you really do want to use this, go ahead and slap an ACOG on it, since the G36C has low ACOG sway.

M14
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: ???s
Accuracy: Medium
                                                    Tier: 4

An extremely high recoil rifle with the unique ability to make 1-shot headshot kills. A great weapon to use if you want to just show off, but other than that there's not a huge reason to use this over the G3 unless you want to use juggernaut or UAV jammer on your AR. I would highly advise against this though because when you're trying to shoot someone at longer range, making 3 shots with this thing can be very tough, and if they have juggernaut, you're not going to kill them unless they are standing still. The best attachment for this rifle is the silencer, it is the closest thing you'll find to a silenced sniper rifle in multiplayer.

MP44
Range: 1500 - 2000 (500 - 1000 SD)
TTK: 0.200s - 0.300s
Accuracy: High
Tier: 5

Again, another weapon that's pretty much completely outclassed by another weapon. This is like a downgraded AK-47: no attachments, and a much slower TTK. Not to mention the iron sights are pretty bad, though still manageable I guess.
